Say “Thank You” More Often

Gratitude opens the door to many of life’s blessings. Not only that, you will make the other person feel appreciated also. Don’t save your Thank you” words for only big occasions. Be gracious and show your gratitude often.

Say “Please”

Just like showing your gratitude, being polite and adding a nice “Please” to your requests helps to foster kindness in the world. Say “please” to your kids, co-workers, and even the guy behind the coffee counter, and you will earn respect.

Say “I’ll Pick Up The Tab”

If you are able to do so financially, pick up the tab occasionally when you and your friend go out for coffee or lunch. That will really make them feel appreciated. You can even add you want to do it to show how much you appreciate them in your life.

Say “Let Me Help”

If you keep your eyes open, you will have an ample opportunity to say those words. You can help a stranger reach an item on the top shelf at the grocery store, or assist a colleague at work. Friend or stranger, everyone appreciates kindness when it comes in the form of help that is needed.

Say “Have A Great Day!”

Who wouldn’t love to hear words of encouragement like that when they leave you? Instead of a simple “good bye,” wish people well. Saying it with gusto is sure to get a smile out of most people.

Say “I Really Care About”

So many of our conversations are superficial and meaningless. You can grow some great friendships if you let people know what you really care about. Meeting others with a similar passion will enrich your life as well.

Say “Hi”

Try simply saying “Hi” to everyone you encounter. Rather than ignoring people, show them recognition by making eye contact and saying hello. You don’t have to even pause or stop for a conversation. A simple “hello” can make someone’s day.

Say “How Are You?”

When you have the opportunity such as when you are sitting next to someone on the bus or standing next to them in line, ask them how they are, or some other question that shows you are interested in them and care. Don’t get nosey and don’t rattle on about yourself. Give the other person a chance to say what is on his mind.

Say “Have My Seat”

When riding the bus or at the theater, offer to get up and let someone have your seat. It is a nice act of kindness the other person is sure to appreciate.

Say “I Love You”

There is nothing more important you can say than a simple “I Love You.” Let all your friends and family know how you feel while you still can. It will enrich your life and theirs.
