A lot of people consider happiness a product of vast effort; thus, they spend a lifetime trying to achieve it. However, what we don’t know is that lasting happiness is not far from us, and that it does not come as a result of hard-work. Our role is to quit driving off the happiness. How do we drive happiness away? Through our “if/then” thoughts – if I do this or get that, I will be elated. All you need to be happy is in you!
Take the Moment as It is and Learn From It.
There exists no culmination when it comes to life realities; no matter how terrible an occurrence or condition appears, there’s something to learn from it – so accept the situation and learn what it has to teach you.
This is the best way to move on faster than you can imagine – don’t think for a moment that you are cold-hearted or hard-bitten for acting this way. Contrarily, you are bound to be more caring when you refuse to let your misery get at you.
Defining Anything that takes Place as Bad
Consider that seemingly bad situation in your life few years back – do you now realize that it wasn’t really awful after all, instead, it all turned to your own favor. Perhaps you got fired and sent away with a severance package, and you felt the worst has happened to you. Then, two years later, that same company went bankrupt, and all the employees (your former colleagues) were dismissed without any form of compensation. When you label a circumstance as unpleasant, you are likely to have it all through – so refrain from doing it.
Describe Your Endeavor by Its Objective
Rather than telling someone, “I teach the fourth-graders English’, say “I help our future leaders to learn proper word structure” – this will provide strength to do it with joy. Using the functional terms to define your endeavor is a faster way to burn out. The contribution of your endeavor to the society should be your driving force.
Commitment with Joy Should Accompany all Your Life Endeavors
If you are easily bored and feel stuck in a groove often, then you are dwelling much on your fate and the setbacks, blaming the universe for your unattained desires. You may never realize some accomplishments that wait for you until you grant them the benefit of your undivided attention. This is a great way to transform your endeavors from boredom to feeling of fulfillment.
Once you have something to smile about (which you have to create yourself), you are on your way to enduring happiness.
