We live in a world where justice, good health, wealth and good living coexist with injustice, ill-health, poverty and frustration. A lot of us may partake in a little or full measure of the up and downs of life; for others, it may be only the dark-sides of life – suffering, poverty, sickness and rejection.

The best depiction of co-existence of life and death comes to play in my mind each time Haiti (the nearby island nation) comes into view from my office desk. However, I do not even need to cast my vision to the horizon to find motivation to show gratitude. Coming from generations of survivors of a chronic illness – cancer, coupled with an autoimmune ailment, but thank God my life was preserved – I need no other source to draw inspiration to be grateful than from my own life.
I perceive and also communicate the increasing pessimism surrounding our holidays that have massively become commercialized. It is a helpful way for me to cast my mind back to what holidays really were and what they are now that they’ve been partly brought down to points in the GDP (national) line graphs.
It is my pleasure, and I am in a humble disposition to minister to women who are at the lowest ebbs of their lives right now. Joy, health and good fortune are my sincere wishes to every woman who reached out and touched my soul by seeking succor from my experience. Each day I’m able to spark a glimmer of hope in someone’s life, it ignites gratitude in my heart. Celebrate the Thanksgiving with a truly grateful heart!
